Prince William County Public Schools

Geotechnical Investigations and Construction Inspection & Testing

WDP was retained to conduct geotechnical investigations and construction inspections and testing services for numerous county schools consisting of 3 new high schools, 3 new middle schools, 15 new elementary schools, and more than 50 various additions.  With Prince William County having a very wide array of soil types, many of the projects provided geotechnical challenges consisting of expansive clays, elastic silts, high rock, and high groundwater.   WDP conducted comprehensive subsurface investigations and provided foundation and earthwork recommendations for each school.  WDP continued our involvement on these projects by providing the construction materials testing and inspection services for these load bearing masonry/structural steel framed structures.
