Randy Poston, Ph.D., PE, SE, and Keith Kesner, Ph.D., PE, SE, will present a paper at the upcoming ACI Fall Convention in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The paper is entitled "Use of NDT to Assess Durability Problems in the Field (As Opposed to the Lab)." The presentation will be at a session sponsored by ACI Committee 201 – Durability. Keith Kesner will speak at the 30th Annual Structures Conference in Omaha, Nebraska, on September 17, 2010. The presentation will be entitled "Evaluation of Existing Concrete Structures in the Absence of Drawings." Dr. Kesner will also speak on September 16, 2010, at the ASCE Nebraska Structures Group Technical Meeting. His presentation will focus on case studies on the evaluation of existing structures. Randy Poston will present at the DRI Construction Law Seminar in Las Vegas, Nevada, on September 30, 2010. Dr. Poston’s presentation is entitled "Concrete – The Foundation of Many Construction Cases" and will discuss the basics of concrete and similar building products. He will educate the audience on the science behind concrete, as well as installation and design issues. Andy Dalrymple, PE, and John Grill, PE, will present two programs at the CSI Washington DC Metro chapter meetings in 2011. Mr. Grill will present "Nondestructive Testing of Concrete and Masonry Structures" on January 18, 2011. Mr. Dalrymple will present "Commercial Masonry Problems & Solutions" on February 15, 2011.
