November 2009 - Kesner Presents at ACI Convention

Keith Kesner, Ph.D., P.E., recently presented a paper entitled “Bonded Post-tensioned Concrete Corrosion – Myths, Misconceptions and Truths” at the ACI Convention in New Orleans. The paper was co-authored by Jeff West of the University of Waterloo (former WDP employee) and Dr. Randall Poston.

 

October 2009 - Kesner to Join ICRI Board of Directors

Keith Kesner, Ph.D., P.E., has been asked join the Board of Directors for the Connecticut Chapter of ICRI (International Concrete Repair Institute). Mr. Kesner is currently an Associate with WDP and is based in the firm's Connecticut office.

 

Four papers by WDP authors will be presented at the 5th ASCE Technical Conference on Forensic Engineering in Washington, DC November 11-14.

The papers include:

  • “Evaluation and Repair of a Distressed Masonry Veneer Façade” by Eric Peterson, P.E, and Todd Shelton
  • “Forensic Evaluation Techniques for Masonry and Concrete Construction” by Gerald Dalrymple, P.E.
  • “The Application and Advantages of Surface Penetrating Radar in Subgrade Void Detection Beneath Slabs-On-Grade” by Justin Norvell and John Grill, P.E.
  • “The Integration and Use of NDT Results in the Evaluation of Distressed Facades” by Keith Kesner, Ph.D, P.E., and Michael Brown, Ph.D.

Andy Dalrymple, P.E., Principal, will be presenting "Commercial Masonry Problems & Solutions" at the meeting of the Connecticut Chapter of the InternationalConcrete Repair Institute (ICRI) on October 14.

Mr. Dalrymple will also be presenting "Make Your Project Successful with Masonry: Specification, Code Compliance, Quality Assurance, and Schedule Friendly Detailing" at The Masonry Society's annual conference. The conference will be held October 15-20 in Evanston, Illinois.

In addition, Mr. Dalrymple will be presenting "Forensic Evaluation Techniques for Masonry and Concrete Construction" at the 5th Congress on Forensic Engineering to be held on November 11-14 in Washington, DC.
