Infrared Thermography

Infrared Thermography (IT) is a method which utilizes differences in heat transfer through a structure to reveal the locations of hidden defects. Typical types of defects that can be located using IT include voids in the grout of masonry walls, delaminations in concrete slabs, and excessive moisture in wall & roof insulation.

WDP's infrared thermography consists of an infrared camera with a detached video recorder that allows IT results to be recorded on a standard VHS video tape. Still pictures can be captured from the IT results and compared to standard photographs to more precisely layout defects found on building walls or roofs.
