| Infrared Thermography (IT) is
a method which utilizes differences in heat transfer through a structure
to reveal the locations of hidden defects. Typical types of defects that
can be located using IT include voids in the grout of masonry walls, delaminations
in concrete slabs, and excessive moisture in wall & roof insulation.
WDP's infrared thermography consists of an infrared camera
with a detached video recorder that allows IT results to be recorded on
a standard VHS video tape. Still pictures can be captured from the IT results
and compared to standard photographs to more precisely layout defects found
on building walls or roofs.
