design of repair and strengthening measures is an integral part of the
service provided by WDP. On many projects, the recommended repair and/or
strengthening measures are a direct outgrowth of WDP's structural evaluations
and facade investigations. This allows a seamless interface between the
evaluation and repair design.
To develop
a comprehensive repair and/or strengthening plan, WDP engineers use traditional
and state of the art procedures for analysis. The analysis results are
then translated into construction plans and specifications that allow for
an orderly progression of repair operations to ensure occupant safety,
constructability, and serviceability. WDP also often solicits construction
bids on behalf of its clients and acts as construction manager during the
repair process.
