WDP STAFF MEMBERS TO PRESENT AT ASTM SYMPOSIUM ON BUILDING SCIENCE AND THE PHYSICS OF BUILDING ENCLOSURE PERFORMANCE

Jodi Knorowski, P.E., Project Engineer of WDP's Charlottesville office will present the paper she co-authored with Principal, Rex Cyphers, P.E., titled "Evaluating the Impact of Moisture Content on Thermal Resistance of Mass Masonry Wall Assemblies" at Part II of the ASTM International Symposium on Building Science and the Physics of Building Enclosure Performance.  The symposium will provide an exchange of ideas on current research regarding building science and the physics of building enclosure and whole building performance, with an emphasis on transitions between the horizontal and the vertical and the critical points of intersection; testing and assessment of heat, air, and moisture transfer; energy use, and the environment. The symposium is sponsored by ASTM Committee E06 (Performance of Buildings) and Committee D08 (Roofing and Waterproofing). The symposium will be held in Washington, D.C., December 2 - 5, 2018.

In addition, Rex Cyphers will present a paper titled "Balancing Preservation and Energy Efficiency in Building Retrofits" at the same symposium.
