District Architecture Center Summer Camp

WDP Senior Engineer Kelsey Sheridan, PE, recently volunteered at the District Architecture Center Summer Camp, joining other industry peers to teach students about structural engineering and the engineering design process. The group explored concepts like gravity and lateral loads through fun, hands-on activities including building pasta and marshmallow structures to test vertical loads and using stacking cup towers in a wind tunnel test. Thank you, Kelsey, for inspiring and teaching the next generation of engineers and architects!
