This month, WDP is proud to highlight our role in supporting the design and construction of Virginia Tech’s new Undergraduate Science Laboratory Building (USLB). As a consultant to the University, our team provided design review services, construction observations, facade consulting services, and building envelope quality assurance testing during construction, including architectural testing of windows, curtainwalls, and air barrier systems. This state-of-the-art, 100,000-sf facility will enhance Virginia Techs instructional needs for the College of Science, College of Engineering, College of Natural Resources and Environment, and the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. We’re honored to have contributed to the long-term performance and durability of this valuable educational facility at Virginia Techs Main Campus in Blacksburg Virgina—and we extend our sincere thanks to Skanska and ZGF Architects for their collaboration and partnership throughout the project.
