Rollins Ford Road Community Park - Project Update

Improvements to the Rollins Ford Community Park are underway!  WDP Engineering Technician - Eric Smith recently performed testing and inspections during concrete pours for the roadway and parking lot curb and gutter. He also inspected foundations for a new boardwalk/footbridge and construction of a new restroom/comfort station building.

The 64 acre park will include synthetic turf athletic fields, a playground, a perimeter walking path and boardwalk/footbridge, a basketball court, and a restroom/comfort station building.   WDP completed the geotechnical investigation for Prince William County Parks, Recreation, and Tourism in the Summer of 2020, with inspections and testing for the construction of the storm water management pond later that year.  Construction for the remainder of the project started up again in Spring of this year and is estimated to be completed in the Fall of 2023.
