WDP AWARDED FEDERAL RESERVE BOARD CONTRACT FOR ECCLES and 1951 BUILDINGS RENOVATION AND NEW CONSTRUCTION EXPANSION

The Eccles (top) and 1951 (bottom) buildings were constructed circa 1930s and are listed in the D.C. Inventory of Historic Sites.  Located at 19th and Constitution Avenue, together, they are referred to as the "Buildings".
WDP is excited to announce that we have been awarded the Federal Reserve Board Contract for the renovation and new construction expansion of the Eccles and 1951 Buildings. Serving as the building envelope consultant to the Construction Manager of Record (Hill International), WDP’s services will include peer review and construction monitoring.

This modernization project will address a critical backlog of upgrade changes such as building codes and regulatory requirements, I.T. requirements, physical and electronic security requirements, environmental and energy efficiency, as well as address increased utility demands and associated requirements due to an increase in the Buildings' population and integration of technology not anticipated at the time of the Buildings’ original design. The Board expects the Project to maintain the historic character of the existing Buildings and their surroundings.
