BB&T Bank - Retaining Wall Replacement
Due to concerns of structural collapse of a nearly 50-year old masonry retaining wall, WDP performed a structural survey/assessment combined with a geotechnical investigation to provide repair plans and specifications for the retaining wall replacement. Working closely with project team members, WDP helped communicate and coordinate the project requirements of the Town of Warrenton Special Inspections program. WDP provided construction administration assistance through submittal reviews and construction phase consultations. The wall was demolished and reconstructed within time and budget constraints in a very congested portion of Old Town Warrenton with very little traffic or local business disruption.
