Construction for the 257-acre park included the administrative buildings, an amphitheater, 17 lighted athletic fields, 5 athletic courts, bleachers, picnic shelters, restrooms with concessions, playgrounds, dog parks, a skate park, associated paths and trails, site retaining walls, and VDOT improvements within Evergreen Mills Road for park entrances.
WDP provided geotechnical consulting and construction inspections and materials testing services which included monitoring of sitework for building pads, utilities, pavements, and SWM/BMP facilities, monitoring concrete placement and testing for footings, slabs, and site walls/site concrete, monitoring CMU assemblies including CMU, rebar, mortar, and grout, steel inspections for anchor bolts, framing members and welded and bolted connections, monitoring of driven timber piles and wood framing assemblies for boardwalks and piers, as well as deficiency tracking and resolution assistance.
