The Pierre Hotel, New York, NY
Built in 1930 and housing elite private residences and a luxurious five-star hotel, The Pierre graces the southeastern corner of Central Park with 45-stories featuring a beautiful French château-style façade of terracotta, limestone, brick, copper cladding, and ornamental detailing. The Pierre is a designated New York City Landmark structure and has appeared and been mentioned in numerous films and television series.
WDP is currently engaged to perform rope access inspections of the historic facades of The Pierre, which is subject to the directives of NYC LL11/98, “Façade Inspection and Safety Program” (FISP), requiring every building above six-stories in height to undergo hands-on façade inspections and filing of an acceptable inspection report classifying the façade conditions with the NYC Department of Buildings every five years.
