University of Virginia, Academic Village Pavilion

WDP investigated failing balcony components on these historic Thomas Jefferson-designed faculty housing and academic structures located on a UNESCO World Heritage site.  WDP provided design documents and construction administration services to repair the balconies, following a collapse of one of the balconies.  WDP also provided design documents and construction administration services to structurally restore and upgrade Pavilion VII, first constructed in the early 1800s, with two additions built in the 1860s and 1910s, to support a new skylight and elevator.
