Andrew specializes in the evaluation and repair of building enclosures and facades and has completed projects in multiple industry sectors including Healthcare, Higher Education, K-12, and historic preservation.  He is active in the development of new industry standards through ASTM and is the current Task Group Chair for ASTM E241, "Standard Guide for Limiting Water-Induced Damage to Buildings." Andrew is also a member of the Air Barrier Association of America (ABAA) Research Committee, has previously served as Vice President of the Central Virginia Chapter of CSI, and has published several papers related to the building envelope design, evaluation and construction.

“When evaluating existing buildings, I have the opportunity to see first-hand how products, systems, design concepts, and construction practices have performed over time.  I find this experience provides a unique perspective when working on new construction projects.  Similarly, my experience on new construction projects provides exposure to new products, systems, and installation practices which influences my approach to the repair design.  Whether it is solving existing problems or helping mitigate the potential for future problems, it is really rewarding working with a variety of people to develop functional solutions.  And I really enjoy that the nature of my job gives me a unique perspective that I can bring to the table."
