“I chose to pursue architecture because of the exciting medley it brings between practicality and creativity. Throughout my studies, I became particularly interested in both the social and physical impact of reusing existing buildings, which led me to pursue further study in architectural conservation at the University of Edinburgh. There, as I lived in an 18th-century century building with original single-pane windows, I became acutely aware of the importance of comfort in adaptive reuse. Through all this, I have found myself excited by the unique challenges posed by designing existing buildings and passionate about creating a positive experience for the human body within such spaces. My role with WDP allows me to work toward making the built landscape more beautiful, comfortable, and safe, one building at a time.”
