WDP Office: Manassas
Kiet assists project managers through investigation and repair services for projects through testing, investigation, structural analysis, design, and review. Prior to becoming a Staff Engineer, Kiet worked in WDP’s T&I Division as a field technician for CMT & Inspection for soils, concrete, masonry, steel and fireproofing. Kiet had also previously worked under a general contractor as QC for insulated concrete form (ICF) construction.
“It’s nice to be able to work in an office environment with my peers, while also have the opportunities to travel, conduct investigations, and meet with clients and contractors. Throughout these experiences, I’ve learned the industry processes and trade practices and can bring that knowledge back to the office. Plus, once in a while, I get to see some pretty cool stuff; not often do I get to walk through the tunnels of DC.
Even outside of work I can’t help but notice and be curious about all the construction and maintenance projects happening throughout the DMV, both large and small. Working at WDP has definitely made me more aware of the infrastructure around me and sparked a greater appreciation for it.”
