Patrick B. Dillon, Ph.D., P.E., Senior Engineer

WDP Office: Charlottesville

Patrick evaluates structural and building envelope systems. He has a Ph.D. in civil engineering with an emphasis on structural design and statistical modeling.

“For me, buildings symbolize those things which are most important to us individually and as a culture.  Buildings don’t merely provide shelter; they are the places where memories are made, where children are born, where education is gained, where art is enjoyed, where the sick are healed, where the living are made, and where the Divine is worshipped.  During their lifetimes, these sacred structures—like their human occupants—are subject to infirmities or life-ending events due to natural processes, human error, or a lack of care.  I am humbled to work with and learn from such talented and experienced coworkers. With our collective knowledge and experience, we are able to remedy issues and enable buildings to pass on to future generations.”
