For this month’s spotlight, we are highlighting our work for the University of Virginia’s Hotel and Conference Center in Charlottesville, Virginia.
WDP provided Building Enclosure Commissioning (BECx) services, partnering with the University and design team from early design through construction to help ensure long-term performance of the building enclosure. Our work included peer review of enclosure systems including hygrothermal analysis of proposed wall and roof assemblies, development of BECx plan, and ongoing construction phase services such as submittal reviews, RFI response consulting, site observations, and performance verification testing.
By maintaining a focus on durability, constructability, moisture, and thermal performance, our team helped align the final enclosure system with the University’s goals and expectations.
This April, WDP celebrated the following employee anniversaries: Ed Brilhart, III; Jodi Knorowski, PE; and Eric Peterson, PE.
Congratulations and thank you all for your continued hard work and dedication!
This month, WDP is proud to highlight our work with Columbia University, where our team recently performed NYC DOB-mandated annual parapet observations across 27 residential buildings at the Morningside Heights campus in Manhattan, as well as a large apartment complex in the Bronx.
With less than five weeks remaining before the year-end reporting deadline, WDP quickly mobilized resources and expedited coordination with the various building supers, completing all site visits within a two-week period. We provided regular updates to the University team to keep them informed of our progress, and the conditions encountered. Our team delivered all required reports more than a week ahead of the deadline, enabling the client to meet compliance requirements on time.
This February and March, WDP celebrated the following employee anniversaries: Hamed Farmand; Elizabeth Peters; Kiet Do; Akshay Beniwal, PE; Tim Apisa, LEED AP; David Torrico; and John Grill, PE.
Congratulations and thank you all for your continued hard work and dedication!
