Texas State University – Lampasas Leakage Investigation

Constructed around 1912, the Lampasas Building (LAMP) is the second oldest building on the Texas State University campus and houses the Center for International Studies and the University’s Honors College.  The building is comprised of four levels and has undergone various stages of renovation and additions.  A terrace area in front of the main entrance is situated above occupied space.  In addition, an exterior porch at the terrace level was added and later enclosed.  Prior to WDP’s investigation and during an interior renovation project, water infiltration was discovered through the soffit of the porch and terrace area.

  • Performed a review of the plans provided
  • Performed water testing
  • Performed probe openings into the terrace area in front of the building to determine the extent and cause of leakage observed
